Ph.D. Program in Business Administration

Ph.D. Program in Business Administration at UCR

AGSM's Business Ph.D.

Providing business students with another avenue for pursuing their business education, the Ph.D. program in business administration combines UCR's tradition as a major research university with AGSM's strengths of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Inland Southern California, a living laboratory that explores the meaning of growth in today's complex marketplace.

About the Program

The Ph.D. program at UCR fills a growing demand for doctoral students in management in the UC system. It is an academic program that provides candidates with the chance to do intensive research in the field of business. It is built upon an interdisciplinary theme with collaborations from other departments at UCR, including economics, sociology, psychology and statistics.

The Ph.D. program trains graduate students in the design and execution of original research in management, specifically in the major fields of (1) Marketing and (2) Strategic Management and Organizations.

For fall 2014 we are recruiting only applicants who are interested in Strategic Management and Organizations (not Marketing).

Financial Aid

UCR offers a variety of multi-year fellowship packages for incoming students that may include stipends, full or partial payment of tuition and fees, and appointment as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Graduate Student Researcher (GSR). Ph.D. applicants must complete the Supplemental Fellowship Form included as an optional form in the UCR Graduate Application for Admission. This form will be reviewed as part of your submitted graduate application.
