AGSM Confers Degrees to Undergraduate Business Students and MBA Students For 2009 Commencement
For the first time, UCR's business school conferred degrees to undergraduate business students and MBA students at the same ceremony on June 12, 2009. This was the first time the ceremony was held solely for business students, as opposed to being shared with the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences as it had been in previous years.
MBA student Kai Loon Chung and Undergraduate business administration student Jimmy Lau were the student speakers. Ted Weggeland, Senior Vice President of Entrepreneurial Corporate Group delivered the keynote address. Dean Stewart, Dean of the Graduate Division Joseph W. Childers, and Chancellor Timothy P. White were on hand to confer degrees. Dean David W. Stewart called the commencement exercise "an extraordinary success."
