Marketing Professors Receive NSF Grant to Study Social Media

(9/19/11) From 89.3 KPCC. Professors Donna Hoffman and Tom Novak have received a two-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). They will use the nearly $414,000 to study the impact of social media on users' happiness. Joining the project, which will be run through the UCR Sloan Center for Internet Retailing, will be postdoctoral scholar Randy Stein, Ph.D. students Yuanrui "Bonnie" Li and Yun "Bill" Jie, and two yet-to-be-recruited undergraduates.
