The presentation by Undergraduate Business Programs Assistant Director Lisa Miller and Professional Academic Advisors Lata Patel and Allan Taing on “Navigating the Transfer Road:  How One Business School Set Students on the Path to Successful Transition,” covers ways to make orientation meaningful for transfer students.

The team will make their presentation in Denver with sponsorship from NACADA’s Advising Transfer Students (ATS) Commission.

The team first presented the paper at the NACADA Pacific Region 9 Conference held March 2-4 in San Diego.

Assistant Dean of the Undergraduate Business Programs Kazi Mamun said, “This is a great honor for the undergraduate business team. It proves that our advisors do much more than advise – they are also engaged in advancing the research mission of the University of California, Riverside.”

With membership over 10,000, NACADA is the premiere organization for academic advising in higher education institutions devoted to student success. Assistant Dean Mamun has been involved with NACADA for almost 20 years, and currently serves on its board of directors.
