A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management welcomes a diverse and international cohort of graduate students 

On September 15 and 16, the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management welcomed the 2016 incoming graduate class of MBA, Accounting and Finance students. The two days of orientation activities provided more than just the basics needed to be successful at UC Riverside as a graduate student.

The diverse and international cohort of students that comprise the graduate programs have come from China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Republic of Korea, Moldova, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United States, and Vietnam.

Dean Yunzeng Wang addressed the diverse and international incoming class. “Our commitment to you is to provide a world-class education from a top-notch international faculty and strong support from our professional, highly experienced staff. The natural diversity of our faculty, staff and this incoming class, is a tremendous resource for each of you. Because together, we create an environment that will challenge and inspire you,” said Dean Wang.

Dean Wang shared the vision for the future of the School of Business, and some of the key goals which include doubling the size of the faculty, creating a number of world-class Centers of Excellence, and constructing a new world-class School of Business building complex that will be a landmark structure for the University, and all of Southern California.

Keynote speaker, John Hsu, shared an incredible personal story that demonstrated his tenacity, vision, leadership, and spirit of optimism. John Hsu is the CEO of STC Management, a professional asset management corporation. Mr. Hsu is also CEO of Dara Inc., a leader in national distribution of beauty and textile products, as well as the CEO and Founder of STC Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people understand and appreciate the beauty of Asian and Chinese Culture.  

The students finished orientation energized and inspired to start their programs.
