A group of MBA students from the UC Riverside Anderson Graduate School of Management won first place at the 50th International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition (ICBSC). It was the second year in a row that a UC Riverside team garnered first-place honors while another team placed second in their category at this year’s competition.

The competition ran remotely for 10 weeks before culminating in the intensive on-site phase in Anaheim from April 24-26.

The International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition is a challenging competitive event that serves universities, their students and the business community. The competition provides students with an exciting learning experience in which they, in direct competition with other college teams, run a simulated company and have the experience to network with business executives and students from around the world.

Universities benefit by participating in the ICBSC, which encourages student engagement, builds school pride and provides students with an experience that can jump-start their careers with a resume-building activity. Participating students are able to meet and be recruited by the ICBSC’s business partners who have had the personal and professional growth experience by competing in the event. Students that participated in the event came from universities in California and Texas, as well as the United Kingdom.
