Gordon A. Blunden/Provident Savings Bank Endowed Business Scholarship

About the Scholarship
The scholarship honors longtime Riverside resident Gordon Blunden and assists outstanding and qualified undergraduate business and graduate MBA students in AGSM. It was established in 1994 by Blunden's son, Craig, an alumnus of UCR.
Gordon Blunden was a well-regarded banker who, in 1956, founded Provident Savings Bank and guided its growth into the second largest financial institution in Riverside County over the next four decades.
Blunden was an avid flyer, a navigator in the South Pacific during World War II, and he was a tireless community volunteer, actively participating in the work of the Kiwanis Club of Riverside, the United Way and the Riverside Chambers of Commerce. Blunden passed away in 1996.
