Faculty Distinctions
- Professors Donna Hoffman and Tom Novak received the 2005 Sheth Foundation/Journal of Marketing Award for the best article that has made long-term contributions to the field of marketing.
- Distinguished Professor Ted Mock has been honored by the American Accounting Association for his contributions to research on auditing and accounting education. He has received two AAA/Deloitte Wildman Awards for the best paper published in accounting.
- Professor Michael Moore has twice received the American Taxation Association's Award for Best Tax Manuscript.
- Professor Amnon Rapoport has served as Head of the Institute of Information and Decision Processing and as Dean of the Graduate School at Haifa University.
- Professor Richard Smith received the P.W.S. Andrews Prize for Essays of the Theory of the Firm and has been nominated for the Smith Breeden Prize for best paper published in the Journal of Finance.
- Dean David W. Stewart has received lifetime contribution awards for his work in marketing and advertising from the Academy of Marketing Science, the Society for Marketing Advances, and the American Academy of Advising.
- Professor Yunzeng Wang received the George Dantzig Prize from the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences for the theoretical contributions of his research and its relevance to management practice.
- Professor Rami Zwick has twice received the HKUST Business School Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence in the MBA/MSc Elective Teaching Category
- Assistant Professor Seok-Woo Kwon received the W.H. Newman Award for best paper based on a dissertation, Outstanding Paper based on a Dissertation Award in the Health Care Management Division of the Academy of Management, and Academy of Management Review Best Paper Award.
- Associate Professor Xing Pan is a recipient of the Academy of Marketing Science Mary Kay Best Doctoral Dissertation Award.
- Associate Professor Jorge Silva-Risso is recipient of the prestigious Franz Edelman Award from the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences for contributions to management science and operations research practice.
