Richard Savich

Richard Savich has been on the accounting and finance faculty in the College of Business and Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino and Palm Desert and the School of Accounting at the University of Southern California. In addition, he has been a visiting teaching and research professor at several universities, as well as Director of the Professional Development Institute at The Collins School of Hospitality Management at California Polytechnic State University Pomona, Director of Executive Education at the University of Pittsburgh and Director of Information Systems Programs at the University of Redlands. He has published over thirty books and articles in various academic and professional journals around the world.

He is also president and founder of ABKO Consulting (A Business Knowledge Organization). He has consulted on six continents and in over three dozen countries.  His specialty has developed over the years from primarily management accounting to information systems to executive development to its current emphasis on strategic long range financial and personnel planning. His former positions as National Director of Management Consulting Professional Development and Training with Ernst & Young and Coopers & Lybrand, along with his recent service as Chairman of the American Institute of CPA’s Joint Trial Board, Chairman of the Continuing Professional Education Executive Committee, Chairman of the Management Consulting Education Task Force, and member of the Management Consulting Executive Committee have provided him with the background and experience necessary to help organizations achieve their full potential. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees for the California CPA Education Foundation and the California Society of CPAs Management of an Accounting Practice/Management Consulting Committee.
