About AGSM
Our History

The origin of AGSM can be traced back to 1970 when UC Riverside established the Graduate School of Administration. In 1994, The A. Gary Anderson Foundation gave a generous endowment to the school and it was named after the founder of Director's Mortgage.
Today the school offers an innovative MBA program and an interdisciplinary undergraduate major in Business Administration in conjunction with the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences.
The A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management provides:
- Personal interaction between faculty and graduate students;
- Individual attention to students;
- One of the best equipped business school environments in the country;
- Four UC Riverside Libraries with more than 2 million bound volumes and one of the best electronic research facilities in the nation;
- Career planning and placement as well as career development and internship placement.

We harness the powerful resources of UC and our location at the nexus of commerce to create a laboratory for education, research, and productive partnerships across economic enterprises.
The strategic activities that propel our mission include:- Conducting basic and applied research in management that explores and informs the creation, development and management of growth;
- Providing degree programs that prepare our students to be effective managers and responsible community leaders with a deep understanding of the dynamics of growth in both a regional and global context;

- Delivering educational programs to executives and the public at large that respond to the needs of our local, state, national, and international communities.
