Ruthie Lichtenstein

After attaining my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Marketing Certificate from California State University, Fresno, I began searching for a graduate program that was the perfect fit. I knew I wanted to study the marketing field and eventually work in an industry that gives me an opportunity to study consumer behavior differences around the world.

I chose to attend the MBA program at the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Riverside for several reasons. The location is ideal due to its proximity to many business headquarters and access to opportunities that are unique to Southern California. The courses emphasize preparation for the real world of business, rather than theory. This will allow for a smoother transition from the educational environment into employment.

One of my favorite aspects of the program is the connecting of employers to students. During my time here, I have had the privilege of attending interesting guest lectures about careers in companies such as the Snapple/Dr Pepper Company and MillerCoors. These lectures have provided me with useful and interesting information about the beverage industry, potential career paths, and employment opportunity availability.
