Anderson Graduate School of Management

How to Apply

AGSM Admissions

We consider each applicant's professional, academic, and life experiences in addition to character and personality. Admission to the program is based upon several criteria, including the quality of previous academic work, personal essays and letters of recommendation, and Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE) performance. The GMAT or GRE is required for all applicants.

Professional experience is considered advantageous but is not required for admission. We encourage recent graduates, entry-level and mid-career applicants to apply.

MBA/Flex MBA

The MBA and Flex MBA programs are open for admission to eligible students from all undergraduate majors. Quantitative methods (business calculus, linear algebra, statistics) is a prerequisite to the program. Qualified students who have not taken this prerequisite course may be admitted, but must meet this requirement by completing MGT 403 during their first two quarters in residence.

Master of Professional Accountancy

The MPAc program is open to eligible students with an accounting background gained from undergraduate coursework, prior work experience, or a combination of both. We accept applicants with undergraduate degrees in business, accounting, economics and other related fields. Strong applicants for the program will have completed coursework or have experience in auditing, taxation, cost or managerial accounting, and/or intermediate accounting.

Master of Finance

The Master of Finance program is open for admission to all students. The program is best suited for students with a sufficient quantitative background to enable successful completion of the program. The most appropriate undergraduate majors include business, engineering, mathematics, statistics, and physics, among others. Students with less quantitative backgrounds may also apply, but should expect to use electives to develop quantitative background or to take additional courses.
